The location was great, close to numerous other attractions. , the staff was friendly and welcoming at the start.
The state of the facilities was extremely poor, the carpets and walls were worn, there were leaks in the ceiling in both the bathroom and bedroom, and the furniture had an unpleasant odor. The room was also extremely cold, and the heating wasn't effective.

Nothing to be said.

Our weekend was great! The hotel is in a beautiful place, surrounded by nature and greenery. The staff was really helpful and friendly, making us feel at home. We enjoyed the free breakfast that had a lot of variety, and also the free Wi-Fi that worked really well. The location was perfect since it was close to the main attractions of the city and we had parking included in the rate.
The rooms were not as spacious as we hoped, but they were clean and comfortable. We could hear our neighbors through the thin walls which was a bit uncomfortable.

We had a superb stay at The Grand Oaks Resort. The beautifully maintained historic grounds created a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. The availability of ample and secure parking for our special vehicle was a huge plus. The location of the resort, just a short stroll into town, was perfect for exploring Beechworth.
We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay at The Grand Oaks Resort and would highly recommend it. Although there were minor drawbacks like the coffee not being strong enough and the higher prices at the hotel's restaurant compared to other options in town, these did not significantly impact our overall satisfaction.

I absolutely loved staying at this luxurious hotel nestled in the May Day Hills grounds. The location was simply stunning, surrounded by beautiful gardens with large trees showcasing their autumn colors. It felt like a peaceful retreat in a park-like setting. The service here was top-notch, with attentive housekeeping and friendly staff who knew the true meaning of hospitality. I was greeted with a welcome drink upon arrival and enjoyed a relaxing happy hour in the hotel's bar/lounge area. The room itself was impressive, with fantastic amenities including ironing facilities, heating, air conditioning, and tea/coffee facilities. The comfortable sitting area and terrace allowed me to take in the picturesque views of the garden. The dining experience was also exceptional, with a delicious breakfast served in the restaurant and the option for special diet menus. I was thoroughly impressed with the quality and comfort of this hotel and would highly recommend it to my family.
This place is truly wonderful, and I cannot think of any reason why my family would not enjoy their stay here.

I was pleasantly surprised by the value for money at this hotel. The room may have been small, but it had everything I needed and was clean and quiet. The beautiful surroundings of the old mental asylum grounds added to the charm, and I loved taking walks through the gardens. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the breakfast, with its use of local ingredients, was a great way to start the day.
All was okay, nothing really stood out that needed improvement.

The location of this hotel was perfect for our city break. It was conveniently situated close to the shopping precinct and had expansive gardens that added a touch of tranquility to our stay. The room we stayed in had all the necessary amenities and a spacious bathroom with a large shower. We also appreciated the comfortable bed and the friendly staff who made our stay memorable.
There were a few drawbacks during our stay. The rooms were quite small, making it difficult to find a suitable place to store our luggage.
